This Privacy Policy explains how the anneYanimda mobile application (the "App") handles personal data and information stored on a user's device.
The App is developed by Mesut Beysülen and offered under the Beytronova brand. Beytronova is a brand name and is not a legal company or business title.
1. Data controller and contact
The data controller associated with the App is Mesut Beysülen. Questions about privacy, data security, or this policy may be sent to privacy@mesutbeysulen.com.
2. How the App works
anneYanimda is an offline-first application designed to support baby and maternal care tracking. The current version does not require an account, authentication, or a connection to a server operated by the developer.
Information entered into the App is normally processed and stored on the user's device. It is not automatically sent to the developer or a third party, and the developer cannot access it.
An optional Sync feature can be enabled to copy records to the user's own Apple iCloud account. As long as this feature is not enabled, no data leaves the device. See Section 5.
3. Information that may be stored on the device
A user may store the following information and records on their device:
- Baby name, date of birth, and profile information
- Height, weight, head circumference, and other growth measurements
- Breastfeeding, bottle, pumping, sleep, diaper, solids, and medicine records
- Vaccination tracking records and personal reminders
- Maternal mood, energy, hydration, daily check-ins, and private notes
- Care notes, timers, and application settings
This information may include health-related or sensitive information. It is used locally to provide features such as daily summaries, timelines, reminders, care handovers, and growth views.
4. Collection method and legal context
Records on the device are entered directly by the user or created locally as a result of the user's actions. Because they are not transmitted off the device, they are not collected, viewed, or centrally stored by the developer.
If a user sends a privacy or support email, their email address, message, and any information they voluntarily provide may be processed to respond to the request, manage the communication, and comply with applicable legal obligations. Such processing is based on fulfilling the request, applicable legal obligations, and the legitimate interest in maintaining secure communications.
5. Cross-device sync (iCloud, optional)
This feature can be enabled from the Sync screen in Settings. It is currently available only on iPhone/iPad and is off by default.
When enabled, records for the baby (profile information and care records) are copied, encrypted, to the user's own Apple iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. This copying does not send data to any server operated by the developer; the developer has no access to this data. Larger content such as photos or collages is not synced in this version — only care records and the baby profile are synced.
When a second parent is invited via the "Share" feature and accepts the invitation with their own Apple ID, they can access the same baby's records from their own device. This sharing happens entirely through Apple's iCloud sharing (CKShare) mechanism, directly between the two users' own Apple accounts.
iCloud storage used while sync is enabled counts against the user's own iCloud quota (free or paid plan); no additional fee is charged by the App for this. Because Apple operates the iCloud infrastructure, Apple carries/stores this data under its own Privacy Policy.
Sync and sharing can be turned off at any time from Settings > Sync. Turning off sharing does not delete each device's own local data; it only stops cross-device synchronization.
6. Local storage and security
The App's active database is stored locally using SQLCipher-based encrypted storage. The database encryption key is protected by the operating system's secure storage mechanism.
No electronic storage method is completely risk-free. Users should protect their device with a passcode, keep the operating system up to date, and securely manage exported files.
7. Backups, PDFs, and exports
A backup initiated by the user may create a JSON file containing records stored on the device. Although the active application database is encrypted, the backup file created by the current version is not separately encrypted.
Care handover and similar export features may create PDF files containing personal and health-related information. These PDF files are not separately encrypted.
Users may transfer these files to another application or service through the operating system's sharing, printing, or file-management features. The developer does not automatically receive or access these files. The user and the selected service provider are responsible for their security, storage, sharing, and deletion after export.
8. Notifications
The App may use local device notifications for care and vaccination reminders. Notifications are scheduled on the device; personal data is not transferred to a notification server. Notification permission can be disabled in device settings.
9. Analytics, advertising, and tracking
In the current version of the App:
- No advertising is displayed or supported by user data.
- No behavioral tracking or cross-user profiling is performed.
- No remote analytics, crash-reporting, or social tracking SDK is used.
- No user or device identifiers are sent to the developer.
- User records are not published to other users.
10. Sharing with third parties
Personal data stored on the device is not sold, rented, or shared for advertising. During normal use, the developer does not transfer this data to third parties.
If operating-system device backup is enabled, application data may be included in a device backup provided by Apple or Google. This is outside the developer's control and depends on the user's operating-system account and backup preferences. Files deliberately exported or shared by the user are governed by the terms of the selected third-party service.
If the Sync feature is enabled, as described in Section 5, data is copied to the user's own iCloud account (and, if shared, to the invited person's iCloud account). This is a sharing action taken by the user's own choice, not a data transfer performed by the developer.
11. Retention and deletion
App records may remain on the device until the user deletes them, uses the clear-all-data feature, or removes the App. Users can delete individual records or clear all in-app data.
If Sync is enabled, a record deleted from one device may not automatically delete its copy in iCloud or on another device in this version; this is a known limitation. To fully stop sharing, use the steps described in Section 5.
Backup, PDF, or print files created outside the App must be deleted separately. Copies contained in operating-system or cloud device backups are managed through the relevant platform's settings.
Privacy and support correspondence sent by email may be retained for as long as necessary to resolve the request and comply with legal obligations. Users may contact the privacy email address regarding this correspondence.
12. Privacy rights
Applicable requests under Article 11 of Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 may be sent, together with sufficient identity and request details, to privacy@mesutbeysulen.com. The developer cannot access, view, or remotely delete on-device records that have never been transmitted to the developer; users manage these records through the App's deletion tools.
13. Children's privacy
anneYanimda is designed for parents and adult caregivers. The App does not ask children to create an account or directly submit personal data. The adult user who enters information about a baby is responsible for entering and sharing that information.
14. Important health information
Care summaries, vaccination tracking, growth views, reference data, and other content are provided for general information and personal tracking. The App does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional healthcare and does not replace an official health record. Users should consult an appropriate healthcare professional when making health decisions.
15. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the App's features, data practices, or applicable laws change. The current version will be published at this address, and the last-updated date at the top of the page will be revised. Before adding a service that collects data, this policy and the relevant App Store privacy disclosures will be updated.
